US Congress to urge Biden to deliver ATACMS to Ukraine

US congressmen, Republicans and Democrats, have introduced a resolution calling on the administration of US President Joe Biden to start delivering long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine.

This was reported by the press service of the US House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee.

"If the U.S. does not provide Ukraine with all the weapons it needs, it will contribute to prolonging the war," said House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCole.

"The success of Ukraine's counteroffensive is directly related to the military assistance provided by the United States and our allies. In this regard, it is extremely unfortunate that the administration is delaying billions of dollars in funds with which it could immediately transfer ATACMS to Ukraine," the congressman emphasized.

The document itself says that the United States and allied countries have thousands of ATACMS missiles, and some of them can be transferred to Ukraine.

The authors of the initiative mention the decision of Britain and France to transfer long-range Storm Shadow and Scalp missiles with a range of 250 kilometers or more to Ukrainian defenders.

The draft resolution emphasizes that the transfer of ATACMS will give the Armed Forces the ability to strike deep into the enemy's rear. This will affect Russia's ability to continue to wage war
