Historic moment: The House of Representatives of the US Congress voted to allocate aid to Ukraine

The House of Representatives of the US Congress voted to allocate $60.8 billion in aid to Ukraine.

310 congressmen voted in favor and 112 against. 7 members of the House did not vote.

Ukrainian flags raised in Congress after historic vote 🇺🇦

Details of the US aid package to Ukraine:

  • 49.9 billion - defense spending;
  • 7.8 billion - potential budget support;
  • 1.57 billion - economic assistance;
  • 400 million - funds for border protection and humanitarian demining.

Also passed a bill to use frozen Russian assets (~$5 bln) for Ukraine.
