DTEK speaks out on blackout schedules in Kyiv

In response to the spread of information about blackout schedules in Kyiv, DTEK has denied these reports. They stated that this is an information attack aimed at misinforming Ukrainians and spreading panic.

The company emphasized that the situation with electricity supply in Ukraine is controlled and stable.

However, the website of the electricity supplier YASNO on Facebook reports that Kyiv may switch from emergency blackouts to stabilization blackouts. DTEK has updated its blackout schedule, which is designed to reduce electricity consumption by 250 MW. If it is necessary to reduce consumption by more than 250 MW, emergency shutdowns will be carried out. However, there are no plans to introduce a 12-hour blackout in the city."

Starting from October 11, 2022, DTEK introduced a blackout schedule in Kyiv, which will be applied only if it is necessary to balance the power system at the request of NPC Ukrenergo. All city addresses are divided into three stages:

1st stage - from 8:00 to 12:00 and from 20:00 to 24:00;
2nd stage - from 12:00 to 16:00;
3rd stage - from 16:00 to 20:00.

The blackout schedules are published on the website dtek-kem.com.ua/ru/shutdowns.
