Zelenskyy comments on successful vote for aid to Ukraine in the House of Representatives
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the successful vote in the U.S. House of Representatives for an aid package for Ukraine.
Zelenskyy wrote about this on his page on the X network.
The Head of State expressed gratitude to the congressmen for supporting the bill on assistance to Ukraine, as well as personal gratitude to Speaker Mike Johnson for the decision that "preserves the right course of history."
"Democracy and freedom will always matter in the world and will never be defeated as long as America helps defend them. The vital U.S. aid bill passed by the House of Representatives today will help prevent war from spreading, save thousands and thousands of lives, and make both our nations stronger," - the statement reads.
In addition, Zelensky said that a just peace and security can only be achieved through strength.
"We hope that the bills will be supported in the Senate and sent to President Biden for consideration. Thank you, America!" Zelensky added.
