The leadership of the United Nations has called on partners to raise about $435 million to help Ukraine ahead of the winter season.
This was stated by the spokesman of the UN Secretary-General Stephane Dujarric in a comment to foreign journalists.
– We and our partners have called for $435 million to provide winter assistance to more than 1.7 million people across Ukraine by March 2024, – said the spokesman of the UN Secretary-General.
According to him, the UN leadership condemns Russian attacks on important critical infrastructure in various regions of Ukraine, which have resulted in injuries to civilians and damage to residential buildings. The UN Secretary-General's spokesperson noted that partner non-governmental organizations are already working on the ground, providing psychological support and construction materials to people whose homes were damaged by the attacks. The aid includes medicines, hygiene kits, thermal blankets, mattresses, lanterns, sleeping bags and more;
