More than 2,500 Russian troops spotted at Zaporizhzhia NPP

The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which is currently under the control of the Russian occupation forces, has seen a significant increase in the number of Russian military personnel. In particular, as of May 16, more than 2,500 Russian military personnel were deployed on the territory of ZNPP.

This information is provided by the press service of Energoatom.

It is noted that the number of Russian occupants at ZNPP exceeds the number of station personnel. Thus, the occupiers have completely turned the largest nuclear power plant in Europe into their military base.

In addition, there is an increase in the number of military and patrols in Enerhodar.

"The 15-day "evacuation" period in Enerhodar is over: the Russian military returned to the city. After the representatives of the occupation "authorities", as well as documentation and equipment, were taken out of Enerhodar, the "liberators" reappeared in the city, which is a satellite of the Zaporizhzhia NPP," Energoatom reports.

It also states that key services of the occupation "regime" have resumed their work in the city. Russian bank branches and the local "administration" are working again. Only gas stations stopped working due to lack of fuel. However, even if fuel were available, it would be almost impossible to leave the city.

At the Zaporizhzhia NPP, the Russian occupiers have tightened supervision over employees, forbidding them to even exchange words with each other. The working and living conditions on the territory of the temporarily occupied ZNPP are becoming more and more severe for employees every day.

A strict ban has been imposed on any movement within the territory of ZNPP, except for those clearly defined by the local police. Even going outside, not to mention outside the plant, is strictly prohibited. Employees now have to look only directly in front of them, as turning their heads or simply looking to the side is also strictly prohibited.

Energoatom points out that the reason for the new restrictions, which complicate working communication between ZNPP employees, is the Russians' attempts to hide their firing positions and a significant amount of military equipment on the territory of the plant.
