Estonian Prime Minister: There will be no peace without Russia's responsibility for all crimes

Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas said that peace in Ukraine cannot be achieved without Russia, the aggressor country, being held accountable for all the crimes it has committed. She emphasized the need to punish the bloody Kremlin government.

Kallas made this statement during the opening ceremony of the 16th Lennart Mary Conference in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.

"There can be no impunity for the crimes that Russia has committed against its neighbors. Therefore, in the short term, we need to create an International Tribunal to address Russia's crimes. We should also not forget that the Russian leadership is responsible for its actions. The fight against the crime of aggression is extremely important," Kallas said.

She emphasized that for small countries, such as the Baltic states, war always brings destruction, while for empires it brings glory.

"I spent some time researching the history of the Nuremberg and Tokyo tribunals. It was during the Nuremberg trials that the Germans learned about the crimes of the Nazis. Therefore, it is important not only to establish responsibility now, but also to ensure a proper investigation for future generations," Kallas emphasized.
