Poland hands over fighter jets to Ukraine

Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak announced the transfer of 10 MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine. He expressed his gratitude to Anand for creating a tank coalition and jointly supplying Leopard tanks to Ukraine.

Details of the aircraft transfer

Blaszczak did not specify when exactly the transfer of these aircraft took place. Earlier, in March, Poland had already handed over four MiG-29s to Ukraine. Polish President Andrzej Duda also announced his intention to transfer several more aircraft in the near future.

Germany authorizes the transfer of fighter jets

In April, the German government gave Poland permission to transfer five MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine. These planes originally belonged to the German army, which transferred them to Poland. As a country that produces military equipment, Germany had to give its consent to the re-export.

Poland's support for Ukraine

From the very beginning of the Russian invasion, Poland has been actively supporting Ukraine, providing military assistance and shelter for Ukrainians who were forced to flee their homes because of the war.
