Orban says part of Ukraine belongs to Hungary

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has made a new scandalous statement. He said that part of Ukraine belongs to Hungary.

He said this on the air of Radio Kossuth.

Orban's scandalous statement

According to Orban, Hungary benefits from having a successful Ukraine as a neighbor.

"Hungarians also live in Ukraine, and part of Ukraine is ancient Hungarian land that now belongs to Ukraine. Transcarpathian Hungarians did not immigrate, they were not blown there by the wind. They have always lived there, it is their country, their land. They are also dying in the war. We, Hungarians, are doubly motivated to bring peace to Ukraine and are always looking for opportunities to contribute to the cause of peace," he said.

During the interview, Orban expressed doubts about the possibility of Russia's certain defeat. He believes that no one can defeat a "nuclear power".

Orban also expressed the opinion that the Russians will not just watch their political system being broken, their president being killed, and drone attacks being carried out over the center of the country, and that they will silently watch their defeat.

On April 28, Pope Francis arrived in Hungary for a three-day visit. He will meet with Prime Minister Viktor Orban to discuss peace in Ukraine.
