US Senate Republican Leader Calls for Aid to Ukraine and Israel in One Package

US Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell has called for aid to Ukraine and Israel to be allocated in a single package, despite the fact that the House of Representatives insists on separate bills.

This is reported by CNN.

Newly elected Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson is expected to put forward a bill for a vote this week that provides only for aid to Israel. Mitch McConnell has spoken in favor of including aid for Ukraine.

"This is a moment for swift and decisive action to prevent further casualties and create real consequences for the tyrants who have terrorized the people of Ukraine and Israel. And right now, the Senate has a chance to provide additional support to help us do just that," McConnell said.

He also noted that the aggression against Israel and Ukraine is connected, because China, Russia and Iran are the new "axis of evil".

"Think of it as an axis of evil: China, Russia and Iran. So this is not just a test for Ukraine. It's a test for the United States and for the free world. And the path to greater security for all of us is simple: help Ukraine win the war," said the Senate Republican leader.

The US allocated only 5% of the defense budget to Ukraine, and it led to the destruction of 50% of Russia's military potential (the "second army of the world"). this is the coolest investment by the US. (c) Chris Christie
