Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has reported that over 100 Russian soldiers have been captured in Russia's Kursk Oblast since the beginning of the day.

Quote from Syrskyi: "[Ukrainian] forces have advanced from 1 to 2 km in certain areas (in Kursk oblast – ed.) since the beginning of the day. A mop-up operation in the settlement of Sudzha [Kursk Oblast] has been completed.

Over 100 enemy troops have been captured since the beginning of the day."

Details: Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude to Syrskyi for replenishing the prisoner-of-war exchange pool with Russian soldiers captured in action.

Background: US officials said Russia was withdrawing some of its forces from Ukraine to respond to the Ukrainian offensive in Kursk Oblast.
