In September, the United States plans to announce an aid package for Ukraine for 2024

In September, the United States plans to announce an aid package for Ukraine for 2024.

This was announced during a briefing in Odesa by Kurt Volker, former U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine at the U.S. State Department.

"In the fall, we will introduce another aid package that will support Ukraine through 2024. We are now discussing this $60 billion package, which I think will be introduced in September. The package is planned to be agreed before the US presidential election," Volker said.

The former US State Department spokesman also added that the US has enough funds to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces' counteroffensive, which is scheduled to begin in early summer and last until the fall.

Asked whether Ukraine could be admitted to NATO before the war is over, Volker did not rule out this possibility, citing the example of Germany, which was partially under the rule of the Soviet Union at the time of its accession. At the same time, he believes that if Ukraine joins NATO, it will have the right to liberate its territories in the future.
