Russian propagandists shifted focus from Bakhmut to another direction: ISW gives reason

Russian propagandists have shifted focus from Bakhmut to the occupiers' offensive near Mar'yinka. Now they are deciding among themselves who controls the city more.

It is noted that the Russians are already deciding who will be responsible for successes, despite their absence.

Analysts of the Institute report that the Russian military command, close to the criminal PMC & quot;Wagner& said that soldiers of the 150th and 20th motorized rifle divisions of the so-called "DPR" allegedly play a major role in the "successes" around Mar'yinka. Instead, other propagandists claim that the Sparta battalion and the Kaskad and Rusych formations allegedly also took part in the successes around Marinka.

"These discussions of successes coincide with reports of Chechen forces arriving to take charge of the Donetsk front and complete the capture of Mar'inka and other settlements in the area," the report says.

The Institute believes that such a wave was launched to undermine Kadyrov's ability to use any further achievements to increase his authority.

"Many irregulars may resent Kadyrov's attempt to take credit for any successes after months of grueling offensives," the report said;
