Twitter(X) has started massively deleting fakes about the war in Israel
Twitter has started fighting fakes and Hamas accounts amid a possible blocking of the social network in the EU. The company had to act quickly, as it was given only a day to solve the problems.
Thus, the changes in Twitter were announced by the company's CEO Linda Yaccarino – she said that the company has redistributed resources to respond quickly to different situations.
– There is no place for terrorist organizations or extremist groups on Site X, and we continue to remove such accounts in real time. We are engaged in identifying fake news amid an active crisis, – said Yaccarino.

This was a response to EU regulator Thierry Breton, who gave Elon Musk an ultimatum. This decision was logical, as fakes about the war in Israel were actively spreading on Twitter.
Moreover, Musk himself spread false information. He advertised to two Twitter accounts that repeatedly changed facts and deceived users. After some time, the billionaire deleted the post, but millions will remember it;
