"We will continue to kill Russians," - promises GUR head Budanov
The head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, did not want to answer directly whether the DIU was involved in the murders of Russian war supporters.
He said this in an interview with YahooNews, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reports.
Answering a journalist's question about the alleged involvement of Ukrainian special services in the elimination of war-mongers, Budanov refused to confirm or deny this information:
- "Do not continue this topic. All I will comment on is that we have killed Russians and will continue to kill Russians anywhere in the world until Ukraine's complete victory," Budanov said.
- "They've been trying to accuse me of terrorism since 2016, but I want to start by saying that what they call terrorism, we call liberation. And it didn't start because I went crazy and started killing people in Moscow. It happened because they invaded our country back in 2014," Budanov said.
*"They" refers to the Russian government. On April 21, just a few days before Yahoo News met with Ukraine's most recognizable spy, the Lefortovo District Court of Moscow arrested Budanov in absentia. He is accused of creating a "terrorist community," "illegal acquisition of weapons by a group of persons," and "illegal acquisition of explosive devices by a group of persons."
