Situation at the front today, August 26

Russian occupants continue to conduct unsuccessful offensives in three directions. At the same time, Ukrainian troops are still holding back the invaders' offensive in the Mariupol sector.

Russian attacks

During the day, the enemy launched three missile and 34 air strikes, fired 34 times from multiple rocket launchers at the positions of our troops and localities.

As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Residential buildings, schools and other civilian infrastructure have been destroyed.

The probability of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high. The situation at the frontline remained unchanged over the last day, with 38 combat engagements taking place.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi sectors, the enemy fired mortar and artillery shells at more than 25 localities, in particular, Khrinivka, Kliusy in Chernihiv region; Vilna Sloboda, Khodynove, Semeykine, Hirky in Sumy region and Pletenivka, Kruhle, Budarky in Kharkiv region.

In the Kup’yansky direction the settlements of Dvorichna, Synkivka, Ivanivka, Kyslivka, Berestove in Kharkiv region were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy.

On the Liman direction the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Novoyehorivka, Luhansk region. It carried out air strikes in the areas of Novoyehorivka, Tverdokhlibove, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Spirne in Donetsk region.

More than 15 localities, including Karmazynivka, Nevske, Chervonopopivka, Kreminna, Kuzmine, Dibrova in Luhansk region, were subjected to enemy artillery shelling.

In the Bakhmut sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka and Klishchiyivka in Donetsk region. He carried out air strikes in the areas of Klishchiyivka, Bila Gora, New York, Donetsk region.

More than 20 settlements suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Vasyukivka, Zaliznyanske, Minkivka, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Stepove in Donetsk region. The localities of Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Orlivka, Severne, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In the Mar’yinsk Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back the offensive of Russian troops in the area of Mar’yinka, Donetsk region. The enemy launched an air strike near Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region.

In the Shakhtarsk sector the enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Vuhledar, Staromayorsk, Donetsk region.

More than 15 localities suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Epiphany, Novoukrainka, Prechistovka, Vremivka, Blagodatne, Urozhayne in Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhya sector, the enemy launched air strikes in the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv and Robotyne in Zaporizhzhya region. More than 20 localities suffered from enemy artillery shelling, including Yablukove, Charivne, Novoandriivka, Lobkove, Kam’yanske, Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhya region.

In the Kherson sector, Olgivka, Odradokam’yanka, Mykolaivka, Kherson, Yantarne, Dniprovske in Kherson region suffered from enemy artillery shelling.

Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol sector, consolidating their positions and carrying out counter-battery measures.

Russian losses

Ukrainian aviation struck two control points, 10 strikes on the areas of personnel concentration and two strikes on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.
