Russians actively attack on Kurakhove front, with 53 out of total 75 clashes with Russians taking place there – Ukraine's General Staff

Since the beginning of the day on 5 November, 75 combat clashes with the Russian army have taken place on the battlefield in Ukraine, with 53 attacks on the Kurakhove front alone. Currently, 26 combat clashes are ongoing there.

Details: On the Kupiansk front, the Russians carried out five attacks near Novoosynove and Lozova. Three clashes ended, and two more are ongoing.

On the Lyman front, the Russian army attacked twice near Zahryzove. Ukrainian defenders repelled one attack, and another is ongoing.

Two assaults on Ukrainian positions continue on the Kramatorsk front near Orikhovo-Vasylivka. The Russians launched airstrikes on Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.

The vicinities of Toretsk, Kostiantynivka, Druzhba, Petrivka and Sukha Balka on the Toretsk front are suffering from Russian airstrikes; the Russians dropped a total of 12 guided aerial bombs.

On the Pokrovsk front, since the beginning of the day, the Russians, with the support of aviation, have made 13 attempts to push the Ukrainian defenders from their positions near the settlements of Promin, Lysivka, Novohrodivka, Krutyi Yar, Selydove and Hrodivka. The defence forces are holding back the Russian offensive, having repelled seven attacks; six clashes are still ongoing. The Russian losses are being clarified.

On the Kurakhove front, the Russians attacked 53 times near Vovchenka, Stepanivka, Illinka, Berizka, Kreminna Balka, Novoselydivka, Novodmytrivka, Hostre, Maksymilianivka, Antonivka, Yelyzavetivka and Katerynivka. There are currently 26 clashes ongoing.

On the Vremivka front, the Russians attacked Ukrainian positions near Kostiantynopolske and Trudove five times. Three clashes are still ongoing. At the same time, the Russians, supporting the offensive, actively used aviation and thus launched 49 rocket strikes.

On the Huliaipole front, the town of Bilohiria came under airstrikes.

On the Orikhiv front, the Russians made one attempt to attack Ukrainian positions near Orikhiv.

On the Prydniprovske front, Russian units made two assaults, which were successfully repelled by the Ukrainian defenders. The situation is under control.
