Russian army uses Lancet drones to attack priority targets - British intelligence

Russian invaders have deployed Lancet kamikaze drones at the front to attack artillery of the Defense Forces.

This is stated in the report of the UK intelligence for November 1.

It is noted that Russia is deploying Lancets to attack priority targets, and “they are becoming increasingly visible in the key counter-battery struggle”, striking at the artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to British analysts, Russia's small Lancet kamikaze drones are likely to be among the most effective new assets Russia has deployed in Ukraine over the past 12 months.

— Traditionally, Russia has used small UAVs primarily for reconnaissance. Due to its attack capabilities, the Lancet is a step forward in Russia's use of this category of weapons, the report says.

Lancets are produced by the ZALA Aero Group aircraft company. ZALA also produces small Orlan 10 UAVs, which Russia often uses in conjunction with the Lancet to identify targets.

At the same time, British intelligence notes that Ukraine has also been successful with small UAVs.
