Chief inspector of Ukraine's Defence Ministry relieved of duties
Admiral Ihor Voronchenko, a former Navy commander, has been removed from his position as top inspector of Ukraine's Ministry of Defence.

Details: Voronchenko was relieved of his duties on 31 October 2024, and put at the disposal of the Minister of Defence.
The reasons for his departure were not specified by Ukraine's Defence Ministry.
Background: In September 2024, Ukrainian MP Mariana Bezuhla posted on social media that Defence Minister Umierov had relieved Voronchenko of his duties after the latter reported at the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Headquarters on the disastrous situation regarding training in the Armed Forces' training centres. There was no official confirmation of this at the time.
