Details: Zelenskyy announced that he would attend the fourth Ukraine-Northern Europe summit, hold bilateral conversations with the summit participants (the prime ministers of Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Sweden), and meet with the Icelandic president and parliamentarians.
Quote: "Our discussions will focus on support for the Victory Plan and the areas where our cooperation can yield maximum results: financing Ukrainian weapons production and long-range capabilities, winterization efforts, maritime security, restriction on Russia’s shadow fleet, enhancing defence assistance, providing training and equipment for Ukrainian forces," he said.
He also thanked the Nordic countries for their assistance and praised the multilateral model of collaboration with them.
Almost 90 persons will attend the Nordic leaders meeting, including prime ministers, foreign ministers, members of parliament, and invited guests.
Ukraine recently requested Northern European governments to participate in the Northern Brigade project. As part of the programme, each Nordic country has been asked to prepare and arm a Ukrainian battalion.
