China's special envoy travels to Ukraine and Russia

China's Special Representative for Eurasian Affairs Li Hui will visit Ukraine next week to "promote peace talks". This was reported by CNN with reference to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The special envoy's trip will begin on May 15, and he will visit Ukraine, Poland, France, Germany, and Russia.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said during a press briefing that "the visit of Chinese representatives to the respective countries is another manifestation of China's commitment to persuade and facilitate negotiations, fully demonstrating that China stands firmly on the side of peace."
