Ukraine's air defence destroys 31 drones and guided aerial missile at night
Russia has launched 48 attack drones and UAVs of unspecified type at Ukraine, and conducted an attack with three Kh-59/69 air-to-surface missiles on the night of 31 October-1 November. A total of 31 Russian drones and a missile have been destroyed.

Details: The Russians launched 48 Shahed attack drones and UAVs of unspecified type from Russia’s Orel and Kursk. They also struck with three Kh-59/69 air-to-surface missiles from the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson Oblast. In addition, Russian tactical aircraft conducted attacks with guided bombs on Kharkiv, Sumy and Zaporizhzhia oblasts.
As a result of the combat efforts, aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare units of Ukraine’s defence forces downed 31 Russian drones. In addition, 14 drones disappeared from radar and three flew toward Belarus. The Ukrainian air defence also managed to shoot down one Kh-59/69 air-to-surface missile, and the other two did not reach their targets due to active countermeasures.
Air defence systems were responding in Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, Chernihiv, Odesa and Poltava oblasts.
Background: The Russians launched attack drones into the territory of Ukraine in the evening of 31 October. At night, Ukraine's Air Force reported the movement of Russian drones toward the city of Kyiv.
