Germany has sent two Wisent 1 demining machines to Ukraine
As reported on the website of the German government, Germany has already handed over four minefield clearing machines to our country.
In addition to Wisent 1, over the past week, Germany has sent to Ukraine two 8x8 tractors and two semi-trailers, 16 Zetros trucks, as well as 300 thousand first aid kits.
It is worth noting that the Wisent 1 is a follower of the Armored Recovery Vehicle 2000 (ARV 2000). It is based on the hull of a Leopard 1 tank with the turret removed and has different equipment depending on the mission.
The vehicle has a lane marking system that allows the oncoming troops to safely pass through cleared fields.
Ballistic protection meets NATO STANAG 4569 Level 5 standard, and Level 3 mine protection ensures the maximum possible safety of the crew.
