Military and political observer of the "Information Resistance" group Oleksandr Kovalenko said that a Russian "rare beast" — BTR-90 was spotted at the front.
He told about this in his Telegram.
"Why rare? Because at one time it was supposed to replace the BTR-80, but despite a number of very interesting and reasonable solutions, the expensive project was blocked. Only a few of these APCs were in storage in Russia. I repeat, not a few dozen, but a few pieces," the expert said.
"The reason is actually very prosaic - the Russian military-industrial complex cannot cope with compensation for the losses of armored personnel carriers (APCs - ed.), and everything is sent to the front. Absolutely everything. Even such unicorns", - says Kovalenko.
How long can Russians wage war
According to the head of the GUR Kirill Budanov, Russia can wage war against Ukraine until 2026 at the latest, because they will have problems with the economy and technology.
"According to the economy, Russia can afford it (war - ed.) until 2025 without any problems. In terms of the number of equipment - until 2026 at the latest. Perhaps a little faster, because the pace of equipment renewal that they are currently undergoing is not so high. In terms of human resources, it is obvious that they will have enough for a long time. But no matter who says it, if we evaluate our human resource in total, it will also last for a long time. Our country is not so small" - Budanov said
