Russians claim Ukrainians attempted to break through border in Kursk Oblast and launched drone and missile attack
Russian authorities have claimed that the Ukrainians launched a large-scale drone and missile attack on Russia’s Kursk Oblast. The oblast’s acting governor claimed that "the situation remains difficult".

Details: Smirnov said that "the situation continues to be difficult" and that "fake information is being spread".
Smirnov alleged on the morning of 6 August that there had been an attempt by Ukrainian forces to break through into the Sudzha and Korenevo districts of Kursk Oblast. "FSB border troops and Russian army soldiers prevented the border from being breached," he added, asking residents to "remain alert".
Russian Telegram channels began to spread information about fighting in the border area of Kursk Oblast on the morning of 6 August. They stressed that Ukrainian defenders are supposedly advancing towards Goncharovka in Sudzha district with their equipment.
